DhanMeya — Privacy Policy

Overview
DhanMeya is an Android portfolio and allocation tracker. It has no DhanMeya account, broker connection, cloud portfolio database, advertising, or developer-operated analytics service. Portfolio calculations and AI conversations run on your device. Optional market-price lookups and AI-model downloads use third-party network services as described below.
Information stored on your device
DhanMeya stores profile names and PINs; mutual-fund, smallcase, equity, and fixed-deposit records; transactions, SIP details, categories, allocation profiles, monthly snapshots, app settings, and downloaded AI models in local app storage. Portfolio records and settings use AsyncStorage and are not encrypted at rest. Android system backup is disabled, but a compromised device may expose local data. AI conversation text is held in memory for the current app session and is not saved as portfolio data.
Optional market lookups
When you search for or refresh a mutual fund, the app sends the search text or scheme code to api.mfapi.in. Equity searches and price refreshes send the search text or stock symbol to query1.finance.yahoo.com. These HTTPS requests do not include your holding quantities, invested values, transactions, profile names, PINs, or full portfolio. The service operators can receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and may handle request information under their own privacy practices.
Optional AI-model downloads
If you choose to install an AI model, model and tokenizer files download from Software Mansion repositories hosted on Hugging Face. The download dependency makes a request to increment the Hugging Face download counter and reports the model name, a country code inferred from your device locale, whether the app is running on an emulator, and the ExecuTorch library version to Software Mansion. Download hosts can also receive ordinary network information such as your IP address. Portfolio values, PINs, and AI conversation text are not included in these requests. Once installed, model inference runs on your device.
Exports and sharing
You can export JSON or CSV data and save or share it through Android's file picker or share sheet. DhanMeya does not choose the destination. Exported copies are then controlled by you and the storage or sharing service you select.
Permissions
The app uses internet access for optional lookups and downloads. Notification and boot-completion access support local reminders. It does not request location, contacts, microphone, camera, or advertising-ID access.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you delete an item or profile, reset the app, clear app storage, or uninstall DhanMeya. Downloaded models remain until you remove them, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. You must delete exported files separately from wherever you saved or shared them. DhanMeya has no remote account or developer-operated database. Third-party network providers may retain request records under their own policies.
Children
DhanMeya is a personal investment-record tool and is not directed to children.
