FitDesk — Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 2026
Overview
FitDesk is a local-first Android application. FitDesk does not collect, upload, or share personal data with the developer or any developer-controlled service. Information entered by the user is stored locally on the user's device.
Data collection
The developer does not collect or receive user data. There are no user accounts, sign-in, registration, advertising, analytics, remote crash reporting, or cloud backend.
Data stored on the device
Information entered by the user—including client and organizer names, phone numbers, email addresses, notes, classes, schedules, packages, and payment records—is stored locally in the app's SQLite database.
Uninstalling FitDesk removes its local application data. Backup files that users have separately saved or shared remain under the user's control.
Backup export and import
FitDesk provides an optional, user-initiated backup feature.
When the user explicitly selects Export Backup, FitDesk creates a backup file on the device and opens Android's system share interface. The user independently chooses whether and where to save or share the file.
FitDesk does not automatically upload backup files, select a recipient, transmit them to a developer-controlled server, or retain access to them after export.
Importing a backup reads only the file explicitly selected by the user.
Third-party services
FitDesk uses no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or remote crash-reporting services. Notifications are scheduled locally on the device and are not push notifications routed through an external FitDesk server.
Permissions and system access
- Notifications — used only for local class, payment, and backup reminders configured by the user.
- Files and sharing — used only when the user explicitly exports a backup or selects a backup file to import. FitDesk does not request broad access to device storage.
- Internet— the Android package may include internet capability through its application framework, but FitDesk does not use it to upload user data. External privacy-policy links are opened in the user's browser.
User-controlled transfers
A backup leaves FitDesk only when the user explicitly invokes the export feature and chooses a destination through Android's system share interface. This is a user-initiated transfer. FitDesk does not receive or process the exported information.
Children
FitDesk is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
Updates to this privacy policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Any material change to FitDesk's data-handling practices will also be reflected in the Google Play Data Safety declaration.
